Use a serrated knife to cut beefsteak or other round tomatoes into slices of desired thickness. Serve on burgers and sandwiches.
Diced tomatoes with seeds
Stack a few tomato slices on top of each other, and cut into strips. Cut across the strips to make cubes. Use in salsas or on tacos.
Diced tomatoes without seeds
Use a serrated knife to cut roma tomatoes in half lengthwise and then into quarters. Remove the core and seeds from each slice and discard. Cut each quarter into strips, then dice the strips into cubes. Use in salsas or on tacos.
Tomato wedges
Trim off the stem from a round tomato. Cut into quarters, the slice each quarter into wedges of your desired size. Use in salads.
Cherry or grape tomatoes
Use a serrated knife to cut in half or quarters, depending on what the recipe needs.

Notes
Store tomato slices or diced tomatoes in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 5 days.
If you cut one or two slices from a tomato, you can wrap the rest of it in plastic wrap then place it in the fridge to keep fresh for a couple of days.
